Theater District

So named due to the abundance of live performance venues that dominate the area, the Theater District is right in the heart of mid-Manhattan and is a prime location for tourists looking to experience all of New York's major attractions. The area includes Times Square, the majority of the city's Broadway and off-Broadway play and musical theaters, fancy restaurants, great shopping and more.

The region is also home to a number of major TV station headquarters and broadcast centers, such as MTV, ABC and NBC, where shows like David Letterman, TRL Live and more are filmed in front of studio audiences. Times Square is also the site of the famous annual New Year's Eve ball drop.
