Lincoln Center

Besides Lincoln Center, which is the home of the New York Philharmonic, the Metropolitan Opera, the American Ballet Theatre, the New York City Opera and Ballet, and the Juilliard School of Music, the neighborhood contains landmarks such as the Ansonia and the Dakota, the latter being the former residence of Lauren Bacall and the late John Lennon.
The neighborhood is primarily residential but has countless first-class restaurants and cafés, most with open-air seating in the warmer months. There are also a range of fashionable boutiques as well as inexpensive discount stores. Central Park and Columbus Circle are within walking distance, and public transportation is easily accessible.
The development of the Hudson River waterfront park, including the southern extension of Riverside Park, provides access to many outdoor activities such as biking, skating and kayaking. Luxurious skyscrapers overlooking the river make for a beautiful and complete New York scene.
